About Us
I started my career in cake decorating in 1991,
while working in a patisserie in my hometown of Rochester in Kent.
Thrown in at the deep end when the resident cake decorator retired,
I had to learn quickly, but I was hooked!
Since that hasty apprenticeship, I have been
privileged to study Sugarcraft and Cake Decorating professionally
at the prestigious Brooklands College, gaining distinctions to
Advanced level. My other studies include inspirational chocolate
courses, wedding floristry, and a spectrum of traditional arts
and crafts that can be translated into sugar to stunning effect.
In recent years, my work has been entered into
local and national competitions, achieving a number of 1st and
2nd prizes, and a silver award for floral sugarcraft at the international
Salon Culinaire.
Since opening my original sugarcraft studio
in Rochester, I have recently relocated, and now work from Brompton
Village, near Gillingham. Here, I continue to follow my dream
to design and create beautiful, individual wedding cakes. If you
like what you see in my galleries, please contact
me to discuss how I can help you achieve your dream.
