Tutorials and New Services
for Home Cake Makers and Sugarcraft Enthusiasts
I originally started my business ‘Icinghouse’ to allow me to spend my time designing and creating beautiful, original cakes. In doing this, I have been privileged to share in some of the happiest occasions in my clients' lives.
However, trends are changing, and more home cake makers (and sometimes even the brides themselves!) are taking on the challenge of making and decorating their own celebration cakes. Others are buying simple, ready-iced supermarket cakes, and want to transform them into unique and beautiful creations. I would love to help.
In the coming months I plan to build on my range of new services, including:
- Step-by-step downloadable tutorials to help you create your own sugar flowers
(First tutorials now available, and see how to make your own Mallow Russe flower paste!)
- “Easier Than They Look” sugarcraft tutorials — cake designs, using simple and clever ideas, with the amateur home cake maker in mind
- “From Simple to Sublime” — design ideas and tips (and some warnings!) on how to transform a simple supermarket cake into a beautiful centrepiece
- “Kit Cakes” — everything you need to decorate sensational cakes at home, including ready-to-attach decorations, ribbons, full instructions etc., and even the cakes themselves, if you like!
- Stunning silk flower arrangements — for beauty on a budget, or ideal for allergy sufferers
If any of the above services would be useful to you and you'd like to know more about them, or if you would like to be notified as more tutorials become available to buy and download, please contact me. I'd love to hear from you.
Lesley of Icinghouse.
