Flowers are my passion, and it's a privilege
to be able to create beautiful, life-like flowers and foliage
from sugar. I can create floral decorations for your cake to mirror
a wedding bouquet, if you wish, or produce a spray of favourite
flowers for a special occasion cake. Virtually anything that nature
can grow can be recreated in sugar to stunning effect and, with
care, sprays of sugar flowers can be kept for years as a memento
of your special day.
To the Chinese, lilies mean 'forever in love'. But to most brides who choose them for their wedding flowers, they are just simply beautiful, from the delicate purity of the Casablanca and the striking colours of the Oriental lily, through to the sculptural elegance of the calla, or arum lily. I've also kept a space on this page (top left) for the alstroemeria or Peruvian Lily that isn't, in fact, a true lily. But it's delicate colouring and hand-painted markings make it pretty enough to keep company with them.
